And it isn’t just job security. If you want to keep up-to-date, get projects agreed, overcome obstacles when things start to go wrong, sell in a difficult market or simply have the stimulation of a range of different perspectives, networks are essential.

The knowledge economy of 1990s is fast being replaced by the network economy of 2000s and if you haven’t got a good network, you are going to be left behind.

Yet building networks can, for some of us, feel uncomfortable.

This workout will show you how, by using simple techniques for identifying and making an impact with the people you want to impress, you can build a network that works for them as well as you. And no-one will think you pushy or aggressive as a result.
